1. Introduction:

The department includes 2 subjects: Anatomy and Embryology.

Anatomy and Embryology are two of the basic medical subjects, providing students with knowledge of the structure of the organ systems in the human body. The branches of anatomy can be divided into macroscopic anatomy and microscopic anatomy. Macroscopic or gross anatomy is the study of animal body parts with the eye only. Microscopic anatomy  uses assistive optical instruments to study tissues from different structures. Embryology, which research depth about  the microscopic features of tissues and the embryonic development, making it a separate discipline from microscopic anatomy. The knowledge of human anatomy and embryology are the basis for students to be able to study well in other subjects in the health workforce training program of the Hanoi University of Public Health, as well as understand the relationship between the structure - function of parts of the human body.

Currently, the department has 03 lecturers who are resident doctors, general practitioners with passion for the profession and a lot of teaching experience. The practice room of the subject is room B411 with full modern equipment to serve the school's students.

2. Mission of the Department:

Teaching Anatomy and Embryology for students Bachelor of Public Health, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory, Bachelor of Nutrition, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Rehabilitation power.

Guiding students to practice in the Practice Room.

Implement independently and coordinate with research units and facilities inside and outside the university to conduct research in the field of Anatomy.

In the coming years, the department will strive to develop a contingent of qualified lecturers to meet the needs of improving the quality of the school's training systems.
